Today I put together a simple timeline diagram for English students to see where everything fits in place. Obviously it isn’t so in reality because real life is more complex but it will give learners of the English language a feel for using the right grammar at the right time. I use this diagram with all my students and they find it very helpful. It can be frustrating for beginners to grasp these concepts but a visual aid really takes the pressure off and makes learning more enjoyable.
